WAFC Community Week

Last week our senior players participated in Community Zone Week and visited years 2/3, 4/5 and 6/7 at school football and junior club training sessions within the WAFC metropolitan development zone. We had 27 players attended the sessions – including 2018 best and fairest winner, Kaine Stevens and Captain Tom Keough.

There were 11 visits across 2 days with 6 school team training sessions and 5 local club training sessions. This program has reached approximately 375 participants ageing from under 8 to under 17.

Our players would either run training sessions or assist with drills, as well as engaging with the kids and promoting our footy club.

Earlier in the year our women’s team also participated in community week with 22 players attending 8 different sessions over 4 days. The women visited junior club female trainings and come-and-trys within the WAFC metropolitan development zone. There were approximately 275 participants reached (Under 10s – Senior)
