Senior Coach – Position Vacant

THE ROLE

The Senior Coach is responsible for leading and managing the Senior Men’s playing group within the West Adelaide Football Club. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Coach will lead and continue to develop the club as an elite football program designed to deliver success. Key tasks will include managing the senior playing lists, manage and develop the assistant coaches and play a significant role in the recruiting process. The successful candidate will work closely with the Football Director, Football Operations Manager, Talent Manager and High Performance Manager to ensure all functions within the football club continue to improve with the objective of becoming the best program in the competition.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Level three coaching accreditation
  • Previous experience at an elite or semi-elite level
  • Ability to develop a brand of football that can compete with the best teams in the SANFL
  • Strong ability to develop relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • High level communication skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage time efficiently
  • Proficient in use of modern coaching technology
  • Adaptability to changing demands and environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and be a positive representative of the West Adelaide Football Club

This position is offered as a full-time role, with an initial contract period of two years. An attractive remuneration package is available for the successful candidate.
