The WAFC History Group held a “show and Tell” on Sunday 14 July at the WAFC. The History group have been collecting and collating memorabilia for the last 6 years and have recently had the collection valued and insured for $400k. The collection included badges, medals, annual reports from 1907, old budgets, jumpers, blazers, photographs of teams and individuals and much more. The day was the first held by any SANFL club and over 200 items were displayed from 11.30 to 3.00pm
About 100 people attended the during the day including Ken Eustice, Robert Day, Bernie Conlon, Chris Kellett and Jimmy Wright and families of former past players.
Gerry McGinley from “At the toss of the Coin” was on hand to talk to about items on display and items bought along by interested parties.
