Club Statement: SANFLW Best and Fairest

SANFL has confirmed today that an error occurred in the voting process for the 2020 Statewide Super SANFLW Best and Fairest Award. This error being corrected resulted in three votes being awarded to North Adelaide’s Anne Hatchard for her performance in Round 5. Prior to this error being rectified, Anne’s vote tally was three below our own Rachelle Martin on 15 votes. The correction of the error results in Rachelle and Anne tied as joint winners of the 2020 medal.

The West Adelaide Football Club would like to extend our congratulations to both Rachelle Martin and Anne Hatchard as joint winners of the 2020 SANFLW Best and Fairest Award.

Both players have been fantastic performers throughout the 2020 Statewide Super  SANFLW  season and are deserving winners of the award.

While we’re disappointed that this error has occurred and was not corrected before the count was conducted, we don’t want this to take away from the fantastic seasons that both players have had in 2020.
