The West Adelaide Football Club would like to inform that U16’s coach Scott Patching will be coaching his final game this weekend after taking on a fantastic work opportunity.
Scott has been a highly valued member of our club since his commencement in the 2019 season.
Scott spent his first three seasons at the club as an assistant coach in our U18 Centre of Excellence Program, before being appointed to the role of U16 Head Coach for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Scott’s knowledge of the game, combined with his passion for developing and preparing youth players for senior football has ensured he leaves having made a strong impression on those who have spent time with him.
We wish Scott all the best for the next chapter of his career, and the exciting move this brings for his family. Thanks Scott, along with the support from his family – wife Sophie and sons Henry and George.
Paul Hollands who is a current under 16’s assistant coach will be taking the role as an interim head coach for the remainder of the 2023 season.
