2019 Captain and Leadership Announcement

The West Adelaide Football Club is pleased to announce Tom Keough will captain the Bloods again in 2019. Keough took over captaincy in 2018 after Chris Schmidt had a year away from the club.

Tom is a 2015 premiership player and a natural leader with all the qualities we look for in a captain.

“I’m really looking forward to leading our players out again in 2019. They are a great bunch of guys and it is really exciting to see the improvements, especially since Gavin has come on board as coach.”

Joining Tom in the leadership group are returning leaders Logan Hill, who will again be vice-captain, as well as Kaine Stevens, Jono Beech and Jack Agostino. New to the leadership group in 2019 is the ever reliable Josh Schiller, as well as returning premiership player Will Snelling. Snelling has been in the AFL system for three years at Port Adelaide and will be a great addition to the group.
