West Adelaide’s penchant for attracting former AFLW players continued over summer when it signed delisted West Coast Eagle Beatrice Devlyn. The 23-year-old, who also played for the Fremantle Dockers, will add potency in attack when she joins former Carlton defender Sharnie Whiting and Richmond midfielder Sarah Dargan as another AFLW signing at Milner Road.
It feels like Kustermann should be a veteran such is her experience at SANFLW level but in reality she is still only 17 with her best football ahead. A key member of the SA U18 Girls Academy, the dashing half-back as an admirable aerobic capacity built from an athletics background. Now a member of the Bloods’ leadership group, expect Kustermann to be influential in 2022.
