Welcome Talia Radan – SANFLW Assistant Coach
The West Adelaide Football Club is delighted to announce the singing of Talia Radan as an Assistant Coach for our Women’s team for 2022.
Talia brings with her a wealth of experience in the AFLW and SANFLW competitions. Having being drafted to Adelaide with pick 58 in the inaugural draft, she became a premiership player with the Adelaide Crows in Season 1 before finishing her AFLW career with the West Coast Eagles. She played 16 games across her 4 seasons. She has also played 22 SANFLW games for North Adelaide and played a pivotal role in their growth and success as a club and was part of their 2020 premiership.
When asked about the next step in her career as a coach Talia commented, “I’m feeling really excited and privileged to be coming into a well respected club who continue to become stronger both on and off the field.
Their investment as a club to women’s football has been really obvious from someone looking in from the outside and I’m really excited to keep building that and helping the further development of players both as footballers and people.
I’m really looking forward to drawing on the experiences of Mark Moody who has had so much success in his own right as a coach and also as an AFLW Assistant in Adelaide’s 2017 premiership. The experiences of Wayne Siekman in coaching, female football and management is another key aspect to why this program is growing and the more experience I can gain from him and Mark will only set me up for the future.
I will bring my experiences that I have gained through being a player in an AFLW environment and also in the SANFLW program to impart that to the playing group and help the next generation coming through.”
We are all very excited to welcome Talia to the Club for 2022.
