The West Adelaide Football Club would like to congratulate our three new Life Members for 2020 including Dr Angela Moran, Mark Pannenburg and Graeme Barton.
Dr Angela Moran served as club doctor from 2010-2019 and is highly respected by all players and officials at the club. She would consistently go out of her way to ensure the wellbeing of our players and staff and we are proud to award her with a West Adelaide Life Membership.
Our second Life Member is Mark Pannenburg. Mark has committed to a variety of roles within the club as a volunteer including working in the BBQ for 11 years. He was awarded the SANFL West Adelaide zone ambassador of the year in 2016 for his voluntary work, school and club coaching, liaising with WAFC in promoting the club and junior football in the district. Congratulations to Mark, who joins his father Jack as a Life Member.
The third Life Member is Graeme Barton who has just retired from the board after 12 years. Graeme was President of the Westonians Committee from 2007-2017 and while doing so has made a significant financial and fellowship contribution to the WAFC. He has been our football director for the past five years including the Premiership year in 2015. Graeme has been the WAFC senior player advocate at SANFL tribunal hearings for the past 8 years as well as a member of the Hall of Fame Committee for the last 7 years.
Graeme’s list of work and achievements go far beyond those listed in this article. We congratulate him on becoming a Life Member.
