Jono Beech has officially informed the club that he will be spending a year living in Queensland. Beech plans to take a step back from SANFL football and spend a period of time in Canada during the middle of the year with partner Teegan.
Jonathan spoke of how hard his decision was to take some time away, but feels it will ultimately be beneficial to his game.
Beech said, “Since moving to Adelaide from the Riverland in 2008 I have put my heart and soul into my football and the West Adelaide Football Club”
“The time feels right to move up to Queensland and do some travelling overseas in 2020. Westies is a second family to me and I plan to be back in 2021 with more determination than before.”
“I wish the club and the players all the best for next year and look forward to seeing them improve under Gav as coach”
Jono won the Roger Luders trophy in 2019 for the most goals kicked and won the SANFL mark of the year in 2018.
Jono is highly respected player at West Adelaide and the broader SANFL community and will be missed.
